This course is a general music class for younger elementary students. Students will experience music in a variety of different ways, including movement, singing, rhythm activities, listening activities, and more. They will learn the basics of reading music, such as note and rest values, dynamics, and rhythmic patterns. Upon completion of the class, students will have a broad understanding of the various aspects of musical literacy. 

This course is intended to introduce students to the basics of playing ukulele. Students will learn how to play chords, finger pick, and read ukulele notation. They will also learn the basics of music, including how to read notes, note and rest values, and dynamics. They will have the opportunity to perform prepared songs at the winter and spring music concerts.
