You've mastered all the basics - now let's continue mastering your instrument by improving technique, learning more rhythms, styles of music and performance opportunities.

Completion of Beginning Band or Audition required.

Let's focus on the percussion section.  Learn all the basics, master the snare & make music incorporating all the percussion instruments.  Play as an ensemble and with the bands.

Percussionists can sign up for both:  the Percussion Ensemble & the appropriate band.

  • • 5A or 55A drumsticks - round tip

    • Medium/Hard yarn mallets (like these)

    • felt mallets for bass drum (optional)

    • rubber mallets

• Practice pad stand or drums for practicing at home

• Piano and/or marimba/glockenspiel at home is also helpful for learning the marimba "notes"
