Guitar/ROCKBAND

Grades 5-12

A fun beginner guitar course designed for first time learners.  Learn how to form and strum chords, read music and play with a group in a classroom format.

 Students need to have a guitar to practice with at home, rental guitars are available through ACA.

Grades 6-12  

In-depth intermediate guitar course designed for students who have played for at least a year and can read basic musical notation and tablature.  Learn new chords, scales and barre chords and songs to bring your guitar playing to the next level. 

Students need to have a guitar to practice with at home, rental guitars are available through ACA.

Grades 7-12  

Advanced guitar course designed for highly motivated students who have played for at least 2 years. Learn chord structures and voicings, scales and advanced techniques. Practice exciting music to play with an ensemble as well as by yourself. 

Students need to have a guitar to practice with at home, rental guitars are available through ACA.

Grades 6-12

Students form a musical group and perform songs as a band! Throughout the year we will study song structure, basic composition and play a lot of new music together. 

Prerequisites for this course are at least a year learning, a great personal practice routine and a desire to perform.
