I Can Do That! Esther Morris Gets Women the Vote Day 5
Reading
First, you are going to do some practice of your own with a biography. Remember, a biography is a story about a person's life written by another person.
Read a biography of your choice. You can read a book you have at home, or find one on Epic, Tumblebooks, Abington Free Library, your Journeys eBook, or any Think Central resource. These are all available on the ELA Resources page.
After Reading
Tell a family member, stuffed animal, or pet three things you learned about the person you read about, or share what you learned with your class on google classroom.
Grammar and Writing
Now, you will learn about double negatives and defining antonyms.
Watch the video below as we read about negatives and double negatives from our eBook, pages 676-677 in your Journeys anthology.
Next, watch another video on double negatives.
Join Abington fourth grade teacher Mrs. Kelly to complete an activity on avoiding double negatives in the video below.
Watch the following video on defining antonyms.
Complete the Google Form below to show what you learned about double negatives and antonyms.
Do 15 minutes of self-selected reading.
