Great team spirit on show at Transition Tournament.

Our school team (P4 and P5)  played their first game on March 30th against Glashieburn. We managed a 4-4 draw with a last-minute equaliser.

Everyone who played represented the school in the manner with the standards we set at school throughout the whole game.

Well done!  And big thank yous to coaches Mr Buchan and Mr Steel.

Welcome to our new website

Welcome to our new website.  We continue to develop the site so please contact us with your feedback so that we can ensure that it becomes an invaluable source of information to you.

About our school…

Westpark School was created from an amalgamation of Westerton School and Byron Park School in 2008. Westpark School is situated on the site of the former Westerton School, which was built in 1953. Extensive renovation was undertaken prior to the amalgamation and the school is well provided with accommodation to meet modern educational needs including a new nursery built within the existing building.

There are 10 classrooms, a general-purpose room, a support for learning room and an ICT suite of modern computers and Ipads for individual learning. There is a well equipped library and we are well resourced to support the curriculum.

School vision, values and aims

Our mission statement, 'We can do hard things', reflects our aspiration that all learners, from Nursery to P7, will develop the resilience and the necessary learning skills to successfully navigate life's challenges and meet their full potential. This will be achieved through the highest quality teaching and learning experiences and an ethos that nurtures a love of learning as well as a strong sense of respect for the self and others. We will ensure all learners embrace opportunities for success in all areas of their lives. The aims of kindness, belonging, mastery and independence permeate all that we do.
