Uniform
We expect pupils to always be neatly dressed. There is a school uniform and we actively encourage pupils to wear it. Good quality blue sweatshirts, printed with the school logo, along with white polo shirts can be obtained at reasonable cost from the school. Order forms are distributed towards the end of the summer term in readiness for the next academic session, but additional orders can be made via the school office.
We have chosen a simple uniform that is readily available at any main store, apart from items with the school badge:
Grey or black skirt, shorts, trousers (not leggings) or pinafore;
White polo shirt / shirt / blouse;
Blue school sweatshirt /cardigan.
A P.E. kit is also required and should include a change of t-shirt (not a football or fashion t-shirt), either shorts or jogging/tracksuit bottoms, (not fashion leggings/shorts), and appropriate footwear (trainers or gym shoes that fit well and do up securely). P.E. kit should not include zippers, sequins or other embellishments as they are a safety hazard.
Earrings and other jewellery are not permitted to be worn during P.E. Newly-pierced ears (with sleeper studs) may be covered with Micropore tape for the necessary six weeks healing time but require to be removed by the pupils after this time.
All school clothing should be clearly labelled with the child's name. If jewellery of any value is worn, children should be able to remove it themselves. The school cannot accept responsibility for its loss. We would also ask parents to support us in discouraging the wearing of clothing with fashion labels or distinctive logos. Some families may be entitled to a school clothing grant. For more information please ask at the school office.
