There two main ways that we communicate during the school year.
All school based communication will come to you via Eduspot or email. This may include school newsletters, news about trips, whole school events, reminders.
Eduspot is an App (formally called Groupcall) where all communications from school can be accessed. You can set the app to show notifications so you will always know when there is a new message. You can also send messages to school via Eduspot regarding absences or to arrange to speak with class teachers.
To link to Eduspot, download the app and enter the same phone number and email address that school hold on record for you. This should automatically link you to your child.
If you prefer not to have another App on your phone, all communication will automatically send to your email address if you are not linked to Eduspot.
Class based communication will be sent to you via Seesaw or Teams. This will include updates about your child's learning whether individual or whole class based. The purpose is to share the learning that has taken place and provide opportunities for you and your child to discuss their learning opportunities. Both also have the facility to communicate directly with the class teacher but should you need to convey a message urgently, please do so via the school office by phone or via email or Eduspot, as we cannot guarantee that staff will be checking messages on either Seesaw or Teams Classroom daily.
Early and First level pupils, nursery to Primary 4, will have a Seesaw profile.
Second level pupils, Primary 5 to Primary 7 will have a Team Classroom.
Both can be used to allocated learning tasks as well as share the learning.
