At Countesswells, targeted support refers to staff providing additional help to learners who may need it to thrive in their learning and wellbeing. This support is tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils and can be short-term or ongoing, depending on the child's circumstances.
Targeted support may include:
Extra help with literacy or numeracy
Support for emotional or social development
Assistance with communication or sensory needs
Small group or one-to-one sessions
Adaptions to the learning environment or materials.
We work closely with families, support staff and other professionals and strive to ensure every child receives the right support at the right time. Our aim is to help all learners feel confident, included and successful.
