Place 2 Be Parenting Smart

Place2Be have launched Parenting Smart, a new resource for parents and carers of 4-11 year olds.  They have lots of easy to watch/read support and advice for parents on a wide range of topics including Mealtimes, Anxiety, Co-parenting, Shyness to name just a few.  Please visit the following link for more information https://parentingsmart.place2be.org.uk   

ACC Parent Learning Hub

Aberdeen's Digital Learning Hub is for parents and carers. The website is designed to encourage parents to build their confidence and knowledge around supporting learning at home. There are helpful tips, links and ideas for learning, supporting parenting and family wellbeing.

Parents and carers have always played a central part in their children’s lives. COVID19 has highlighted how important the parent and carer role is in keeping children and young people healthy, happy, motivated and involved in learning during lockdown.

It doesn’t mean you are expected to be a teacher. The most important thing is to make sure that your children and family are safe and supported to cope with the challenging circumstances.

At Airyhall we work closely with the NHS CAHMs team through out Let’s Introduce Anxiety Management Programme. CAHMs have kindly provided us with some materials for parents who are supporting their children with Anxiety.  

It is a free online programme for parents/carers living in Grampian. Parents can choose from two programs (5-11years or 12-18years) and work through the content to support children/teens who are dealing with worries and anxiety. No referral is required, and parents/carers can work through the programme in their own time. We have been asked to share the following link and code with any parents/carers who might find it useful.
