Provide options to construct and compose, resulting in all learners easily expressing knowledge, ideas and concepts in the learning environment. Give students the option to speak their words, in ways other than typing or handwriting. Also known as Speech-to-Text.
Implementation strategies: Teachers can provide writing assignments or prompts through Google Docs for students to complete using this tool. Introduce the tool with a fun game by having students time themselves typing an assignment then timing themselves using Talk&Type for the assignment. Have the student reflect on which was more effective for them.
Students can fill out worksheets and other short answer assignments in Google Slides. To do this, students can Talk&Type in the speaker notes, then copy and paste their answer to the appropriate location. Have students compose their next email to a teacher using Talk&Type.
