Free Application for Federal Aid http://www.fafsa.ed.gov The United States Department of Education Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is the one form that must be filed if you are looking for financial aid. The form may not be submitted until January 1st or later.
The Profile http://profileonline.collegeboard.org Many private colleges, universities and scholarship programs use the information collected in the profile to help award non-federal student aid funds. There is a fee involved with submitting the profile. You must file the FAFSA form along with the profile.
