Dear Assessors:

The Fiscal Year 2021 tax rate has been certified by the Bureau of Accounts for Williamstown.

The four pages of the Tax Rate Recapitulation form and the Levy Limit worksheet (not

applicable to districts) are available on the Division of Local Services website:

Tax Rate Recapitulation Form

Levy Limit Worksheet

Page one of the Tax Rate Recapitulation form includes the Director of Accounts' electronic

signature and the date of approval. This letter is your notification of approval pursuant to

Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 59, section 23. Please forward copies of this notification

to other officials as you deem appropriate.

We wish to thank you for your cooperation and assistance in the tax rate setting process.

The attached sales report is coming to you in a different format and with additional Information.

Since the Assessor's Office recently converted its database from the CSC CAMA system to Patriot AssessPro, the extraction of sales data has changed. With that comes a change in formatting and presentation. The report will now come to you in excel format as opposed to PDF (Terry, you're welcome!). Please feel free to comment on content and layout as I would like to make it as useful and user friendly as possible.

Content changes of note are the inclusion of the Parcel Identification Number or "PID". This is also known as the Assessor's Map & Lot number. The Treasurer/Collector's office expressed a desire to add them for cross referencing purposes and I believe the DPW/Water Dept might find it helpful as well.

In addition to the "key" for Non-arms Length Codes ("NAL"), I've also included the key for Land Use Code or "LUC" descriptions of properties transacted. You'll see there is a lengthy array of use codes covering residential, commercial, industrial and tax exempt uses.

Any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Regards,

Chris
