Pickle Ball is a cross between tennis and ping pong. It can be played indoor or outdoors, it’s a very simple game and really easy to learn. It’s catching on all over! On Friday August 17thRoberta Saunders will demonstrate the game and we’ll all have a chance to see if we can smack the pickle over the net…actually it’s a whiffle ball! If there is enough interest in playing the game on a little more formal basis, the COA will acquire a couple pickle rackets to use. The Town, by the way, has lined the Town tennis court by Colonial Village to adapt it for the game as well. Let’s play! Harper Center, 1:00 Friday.
While tax season is still several months away, the AARP are looking for a few tax aide volunteers to help process our neighbors tax returns. Training and support are provided. If you have a head for numbers, aren’t afraid of computers and are looking for a volunteer opportunity, this might be for you. The tax program operates annually from February until mid April. Interested? Contact Brian at the COA, 458.8250 and we’ll arrange an introduction.
