The Board is taking a more thoughtful and coordinated approach towards outreach and community engagement for this term and will continue to focus on housing, agriculture, and lighting as major topics. Amy Jeschawitz was elected Chair. Andrew continues to work on the EPA funded clean up of the remaining building at 330 Cole Avenue, as well as Natural Hazard and Climate Change planning.

GENERAL DEPT. BUSINESS

Community Development continues its work with Viewpoint Gov't Solutions and King Information Systems to streamline departmental records keeping. Viewpoint is underway on a major data conversion project. Sarah Hurlbut in the Com Dev office has digitized paper records for all building permits the department has records of for currently standing buildings in Williamstown. These are currently being uploaded into the Town's online permit system. This will allow homeowners and prospective buyers to more conveniently research important information about their properties.

King Info Systems will also be in town next week to complete records management plans for large scaled rolled blue prints and general property files maintained by the department as required by the Commonwealth.
