Google Calendars can be used offline. To enable offline settings, you must be connected to the Internet. Follow the steps listed below:
1. Open Google Calendar
2. Click the Gear, select Offline.
3. In the message box prompt "Enable Google Calendar Offline", click Enable.
4. The calendar will synchronize in the Status message.
Note: If you do not have the Google Calendar app installed, you will be prompted to install the Google Calendar app through the Chrome Web Store. Click the Install button. The calendar web app page will open in a separate window. When the installation is completed, the Google Calendar web app will appear in a new tab with Chrome apps. Click on it. The calendar will open. Click on the Gear, next to Offline you will see a green check-mark.
5. When synchronizing is completed, the status will confirm this. If you would like to have more than one calendar synchronized, click the Offline settings link.
Here you can place a check-mark to additional calendars to sync offline.
Click the Save button to save changes made.
To access your offline calendar in a Chromebook:
Click the Apps Array icon to the right corner on the Chromebook. Click on the Google Calendar app.
To access your offline calendar on a laptop:
Click the apps bookmark to the left side of the Chrome bookmark bar. A new page opens in another tab with the Chrome apps. Click on the Google Calendar app.
