FY 2021 Continuum of Care Program Competition (Posted 9/3/2021)

On August 18, 2021 HUD published the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the for the2021 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition. The Will County CoC will begin its local competition on September 3, 2021 with the posting of this notice. The Will County CoC will be accepting applications for renewal projects and new projects from eligible applicants until October 3rd 2021, at 11:59pm. The Will County CoC's local competition will conclude on October 15th 2021.

The CoC is prioritizing new project applications that partner with health care organizations, private organizations, faith-based organizations, state or local governments, public housing authorities or federal programs other than CoC or ESG. In the case of partnerships with private organizations, faith-based organizations, state or local governments, public housing authorities or federal programs other than CoC or ESG, the CoC will prioritize housing projects for which 25% of the units are funded by a partnering organization. For new projects that partner with health care organizations the CoC will prioritize projects for which a partnering health care organization will provide 25% of the funding for the project or projects that partner with a substance use provider organization that agrees to provide treatment or recovery services for participants who qualify and choose them.

FY 2019 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition

FY 2019 CoC Program Competition Opens (posted 7/9/19)

On July 3, 2019 , HUD published the Notice of Funding Availability for the FY 2019 Funds in the FY 2019 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition. The Will County CoC will begin its local competition on July 9, 2019 with the posting of this notice. The Will County CoC will be accepting applications for renewal projects and new projects from eligible applicants until August 21, 2019 at 5:00PM CT. The Will County CoC's local competition will conclude on September 15, 2019.

The Will County CoC’s Request for Proposals and Selection Priorities are posted publicly and can be viewed below. The HUD FY2019 CoC NOFA can be viewed on HUD's OneCPD Resources exchange on the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Fiscal Year 2019 Continuum of Care Program Competition page. Please, review the Will County CoC Selection Priorities, CoC Program Interim Rule (24 CFR 578), and the NOFA in their entirety prior to inquiring about applying for funding through the Will County CoC.

The 2019 NOFA Workshop will be held on Monday July 29, 2019 at 2:00PM Agencies are invited to attend via this public posting and a mass e-mail within the CoC. A representative from ALL applicants' organizations IS REQUIRED to attend this meeting if you wish to apply for new or renewal funding through this year's competition. You may begin your application prior to the workshop if you wish.

Request for Letters of Intent (posted 5/15/19)

The Will County Continuum of Care is announcing important additions to its local Ranking and Selection Process for Continuum of Care(CoC) Program funding. Beginning in the FY2019 CoC Program Competition, the Will County CoC will require agencies interested in applying for these funds to submit a letter of intent. Also, the Chief Officer/ Executive Director of the interested agency must attend a Ranking Panel Session. Please, read the entire announcement for full details. The Letter of Intent must be submitted to Merridith Montgomery no later than 5:00PM on Wednesday May 29, 2019 via e-mail at mmontgomery@wcccc.net

In anticipation of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the FY 2019 CoC Program Competition, the Will County CoC is working diligently to improve upon its local Ranking and Selection Process. In accordance with 24 CFR 578, CoC’s are responsible to design, operate, and follow a collaborative process for the development of an application in response to a NOFA issued by HUD. As part of this collaborative process, the Will County CoC will announce local competition deadlines after HUD announces the FY2019 CoC Program NOFA.
