System Entry Points

Coordinated entry is a powerful tool designated to ensure that homeless persons and persons at risk of homelessness are matched, as quickly as possible, with the intervention that will most efficiently and effectively end their homelessness.

System Entry Points

The Coordinated Entry System will not prioritize crisis interventions, such as entry to emergency shelters, homeless prevention or diversion. These interventions are encouraged to operate with as few barriers to entry as possible.

Outreach is available throughout the CoC. Street outreach teams serve as a system entry point. Persons experiencing a housing crisis who are encountered on the streets are prioritized for assistance in the same manner as any other person who accesses and is assessed through Coordinated Entry are.
