Supplies/Gifts for Musicians

Want to buy reeds but don't know what kind? Want a gift idea for your student who loves music? Enjoy our list of ideas!

All of these items can be searched on www.wwbw.com (and sometimes Amazon if you are careful that it is the correct item) by the title. Be sure to input any strengths/hardnesses/ special information before ordering (or ask me!!)

Items that work for all instruments

  • A tuner/metronome combo! This is great to have when they play at home so they can help keep a steady beat AND it has a built in tuner so they can check if they are in tune. This is so handy as they age!

https://www.amazon.com/Korg-TM40-Display-Digital-Metronome/dp/B000AAGM0M/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1544219152&sr=8-16&keywords=tuner%2Fmetronome

  • Chop saver! Ideal for brass players, but can be used with reed players in moderation (don't layer it on thick)

http://www.amazon.com/CHOP-Chop-Saver-Lip-Balm/dp/B000H18S4M

  • Pencils! They always seem to get lost...

  • Sheet music from their favorite movie or tv show! Please pay attention to the difficulty level (6th grade would want "very easy or easy" 7th-8th grade could have easy/medium/medium difficult depending on your student's ability). There are many various books from the movies!!

http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/ or Amazon!

  • An upgraded instrument such as intermediate or pro-level. Are you ready to upgrade from your starter instrument to develop your sound? Talk to Mrs. S and we can discuss your options. I am here for you! Click here to see our info about purchasing instruments.

I have a list of supplies (and upgrades) with Ward Brodt too! Check out this document, and call Ward Brodt about purchasing. Otherwise, shop around for best pricing, but make sure you ONLY get the items in the sheet (or the links below). There is a lot of look-alike junk out there, and the quality matters!
