ONE MILE RUN : Testing for Endurance
1. Start Position: At HIS we have designated a 3-lap + dog-legs course which measures one mile. Student should attempt to run the full mile at a consistent pace.
2. Movement: If the student is unable to maintain their pace they may slow down or walk if necessary, but should try to cover the distance in as short a time as possible. Students often learn to increase their pace as the year progresses and they become more confident and fit.
3. Test: Upon crossing the finish line, look at the clock to determine the exact amount of time it took to run the mile. Be sure to record your time in minutes and seconds.
