Please review the visual arts classroom rules & policies (left-detailed & below-brief overview), Please note that each course may have additional safety & handling, or other procedures / rules / policies that specifically apply to materials, & processes, for that course.
1.) BE ON TIME - "P"- PREPARED
Be on time coming (In the room before the arrival bell) & going (cleaned up and in your seat before the dismissal bell). Follow entering and exiting procedures. Come prepared with materials needed for class, and leave distractions and other items at home, in locker, or outside of class.
2.) STAY ON TASK - "E" - ENGAGED
Be either in your assigned seat or designated area focusing on or engaged in the current activity, assignment, or project
3.) CLEAN UP PROPERLY - "R" - RESPONSIBLE
Take responsibility and do your part in maintaining a safe & clean art studio.
4.) USE IT CORRECTLY - "D" - DETERMINED
Follow directions, procedures, and/ or routines as established
established. Ask first if you have questions or are unsure.
5.) KEEP IT SCHOOL APPROPRIATE "I" - INTEGRITY
Refrain from engaging in actions that unsuitable for a classroom environment, including, but not limited to, language, dress, topics of conversation, sketches / drawings / artworks / image references. When in doubt - Ask.

FOOD & DRINKS
Outside food or drinks need to be kept out of the art room (water in a sealed bottle is OK - no open containers)
CELL PHONES, DEVICES, & TECHNOLOGY
Use your school computers / Chromebooks appropriately for coursework only, personal devices are not permitted
CHROMEBOOKS
Bring to class daily, charged & ready to use only for course related assignments
HEADPHONES / EAR BUDS
Are not permitted, may not be worn into, during, or out of the classroom.
SEATING & STORAGE
Sit in your assigned seat or designated workspace daily. Store art supplies and materials in the correct location. Individual art supplies stored neatly / carefully in you art bin, binder, or folder. Classroom art supplies returned properly in the designated location.
PERSONAL ITEMS
Place personal items under the edge of your table or in the designated area. Bookbags, gym bags, large purses, prohibited.
HALL PASSES & ABSENCENCES
Follow hall pass & absence procedures. Students may use up to 4 hall passes per quarter. When absent, take responsibility to gather & make up your missing content and work.
MATERIALS - Bring the following materials to class daily:
Chromebook - Binder / Folder - Sketchbook / Art Journal
Pencil/s & Eraser - Wired Headphones (optional)
* Failure to follow class rules, class policies, or school rules will likely result in disciplinary action, to be determined by the teacher and/or administration when necessary. Any student engaged in mischief or vandalism resulting in damage or inoperable conditions to any tools, materials, equipment, electronic devices, etc. will be referred for disciplinary action. *
The presentation to the right specifically addresses the rules & expectations for conducting oneself using digital platforms, media, & resources, such as Google Classroom. Many of the themes & topics echo how students should conduct themselves in class, but this addresses some of the differences between in person and digital / written communication.
