UWCCR: A Sense of Place
For this project we are going to create a painting or drawing (choose any media and any style that you like) that uses one or two point perspective AND atmospheric perspective to create a sense of depth in your work. You will choose a scene from around UWCCR (interior or exterior) and recreate it in an artwork using correct perspective.
Your drawing or painting is worth 10% of your Semester 1 grade. It is due on Friday November 1.

You can do the drawing or painting from a photo! Email it to me before Friday so I can print it.
Make sure the photo:
Is a good representation of UWCCR (no toilets or dirty kitchens!)
Has an interesting composition with a good range of different values
Has a sense of depth
Shows one- or two-point perspective

Assessment and Objectives
The painting will be assessed using Criterion B: Technical Competence (9 marks).
The school is looking for a fresh and original design to use as a thank you card, so the scene you choose should be an attractive representation of the UWCCR campus (no bathrooms or filthy kitchens!)
I will be looking for the following:
how well you apply the rules of 1-point OR 2-point perspective
how well you create a sense of depth in your artwork using atmospheric perspective
an interesting composition with a variety of different values
