Michael Sullivan

Michael Sullivan works in historic preservation as a principal at Artifacts Consulting, Inc., an architectural conservation firm he helped to found in 1997 with two architects. He has taught regional history, urban studies and the history of Tacoma at the University of Washington Tacoma since 1994. As a preservation professional he has worked on the restoration of historic commercial and public buildings such as Seattle’s King Street Station, Ernest Hemingway’s house in Ketchum, Idaho and the Washington State Capitol Campus in Olympia. He has also taught the Tacoma Oral History course and is an editor at the Tacoma Community History Project. _______________________________________________________________________

People of Tacoma and the Tacoma Community History Project

Michael is teaching and working on developing the Tacoma Community History Project archival collection in the UWT Library, and editing a book project, People of Tacoma, with Michael Honey and Darlyne Reiter.
