Who Is Mrs. Meg Rice?

I am married to Paul Rice. We have 2 delightful adult children; both of whom are married and living in great vacation destinations.

I've been teaching since 1973, hence the laugh lines and deeply furrowed brow. I LOVE first graders because they experience the world afresh, year after year. Living in the world of 6 and 7 year olds keeps me young at heart and curious about the world we live in. It also provides laughter and funny stories to share with my art teacher husband in the evenings.

Writing and Reading are my favorite brain activities. Singing alto with my Heaven's Gate, "praise band family" and practicing yoga are my most joyful endeavors. Cooking and eating are close seconds.

I am happy to be a member of a dedicated team of teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff members who truly care about children and their learning.
