About Mrs. Meyer

I am a graduate of Friends University, where I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education, with a vocal emphasis.  During my time at Friends, I sang in Singing Quakers, touring and soloing throughout my time in the choir.  I currently sing in the Singing Quaker Alumni Choir.

My husband and I are both Haven High School Alumni.  We grew up just down the street from each other we have been married for almost 9 years.  We have 3 daughters: Ada (7), Landyn (5) and Ruby (1).  We have a fluffy white dog named Champ (he is an American Eskimo/Lhasa Apso mix).  As a family, we like to stay busy by playing outside, exploring at the lake, watching sports (we cheer for the Sooners!) and spending time with our friends.  Our family is very important to us, so we spend a lot of time visiting our family in Haven, Western Kansas and Oklahoma.

I am very blessed to have a job that I look forward to coming to every day.  I enjoy spending time with the students and getting to know them throughout the school year.  We like to have fun in music, and it’s my goal to make sure that each student that leaves Cheney Elementary is ready for choir in middle school, high school and hopefully beyond!
