Any University student seeking mental health assistance has access to Boynton Mental Health Service and Counseling, which offers individual and group counseling services, as well as psychiatry services, and medication management. Students looking for short-term support are encouraged to check out Let’s Talk, which offers drop-in appointments.
The School of Dentistry also has an embedded mental health counselor working specifically with School of Dentistry students. More information on the embedded counselor and mental health resources will be shared at orientation.
The School of Dentistry's wellbeing program is designed to help you reflect on your personal wellbeing and expand your knowledge on a wide variety of wellbeing-related topics. You can anticipate the delivery of wellbeing content and invitations to programming to your UMN email address beginning in fall semester.
BeWELL, which gets its name from its areas of focus, Belonging, Wellbeing, Engagement, Learning, and Leadership, provides wellbeing support for the Health Sciences student community. You will also have access to Recreation and Wellness (RecWell), which enriches your campus experience and encourages lifelong wellbeing through group fitness classes, wellness facilities, outdoor and indoor fields, aquatics, intramurals and more.
