Any University student seeking mental health assistance has access to Boynton Health Services’ Mental Health Clinic and Student Counseling Services, which offer individual and group counseling services. Students looking for short-term support are encouraged to check out Let’s Talk, which offers drop-in appointments. Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) mental health resources are also available to students through the BIPOC Mental Health Collective.
The School of Dentistry also has an embedded mental health counselor working specifically with School of Dentistry students. More information on the embedded counselor and mental health resources will be shared at orientation.
The School of Dentistry's LiveWell program is designed to help you reflect on your personal wellbeing and expand your knowledge on a wide variety of wellbeing-related topics. You can anticipate the delivery of wellbeing content and invitations to programming to your UMN email address beginning in fall semester.
BeWELL, which gets its name from its areas of focus, Belonging, Wellbeing, Engagement, Learning, and Leadership, provides wellbeing support for the Health Sciences student community. You will also have access to Recreation and Wellness (RecWell), which enriches your campus experience and encourages lifelong wellbeing through group fitness classes, wellness facilities, outdoor and indoor fields, aquatics, intramurals and more.
