Admission Requirements for Graduate Licensure programs
- Completed “Application for Admission to Graduate Study" form.
- Completed Special Education Application Form.
- Official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended sent directly from the institution to the MSUM Graduate Studies Office. Transcripts issued to students are not considered official and may not be substituted for official transcripts.
- Copy of current MN Teaching License
- A non-refundable $20.00 fee for first-time applicants payable to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Application for M.S. in Special Education
- Baccalaureate degree in Education or Special Education from a regionally accredited institution.
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 overall or 3.25 in the last 30 semester credits of coursework.
- Completed Application for Admission to Graduate Study form.
- Completed Special Education Application form
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- Non-refundable $20.00 fee for first-time applicants to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
- 250-300 word essay on professional goals and philosophy of education.
- Two letters of recommendation (preferably current school administrator, former employer, undergraduate or graduate professor)
- *Application Priority Deadlines: November 15 and April 15
