You will need 3 pieces of string about 18” long, two skewers or chop stick and something to poke a hole in the cardboard tube. Poke a hole at either end of the “back of the tube” (body) and one hole in the head at the top.Push one string through one of the holes. Make a knot in the end you pushed through. Repeat with The other two holes. Lay the skewers in an X and secure them together with another piece of string. Tie the ends of the string to the skewer (one string on the end of each skewer). Start with the legs. The string for the neck will be a little long so you will need to tie it a little shorter.
I just noticed that I forgot to add ears!

Radial Design
We have learned about radial design in just about every grade. It is a design that begins in the middle and expands outward in a repeated pattern. I have come across some interesting images of radial designs created with nature, you could also use pasta and beans, objects from around your house (you will need multiples). Many of you have been showing me your lego creations. Yesterday I found examples of radial designs done with legos!!!
If you are going to use nature as you tool to create a radial design please be respectful of the things you are using. Found objects are best. Please do not pick flowers or leaves that are just waking up.
If you choose to use things you find in your home, please be sure to put them back where you found them.
If you are using food items please ask before you take them.
Please email me your creations so I can add them to the virtual ART SHOW. Have fun!

I am excited to try this. Yesterday I made an instructional video for you. Any grade level (even parents) can try this. You can go at your own pace, stop the video when you need to. This is a project I did last year with 2nd Grade and the artwork turned out amazing!! If you give it a try, please email me a picture of your artwork.
You will need: small paper (5x7 or smaller is fine), pencil / eraser, watercolor paint, water dish, paintbrush.
**This is my very first attempt at making a video as well as posting it to this site! Yikes!! I hope I did it correctly.

Anyone can do this one. If you have a camera available to take pictures, look around your house (inside and outside) for things that make letters in the alphabet. See what you can find. Can you find letters to make your name? If you DON'T have a camera, no worries, draw what you see!

I have seen so many art teachers sharing some amazing things this past week. This one really caught my eye. Toilet paper rolls (the cardboard part) may become a hot commodity. The artist made faces out of them! There did not seem to be any directions on how to do this, but I am sure some of you can problem solve. I am almost certain that he wet the tube a little bit to make it foldable. It does not look like he cut the tube, just folded it. If you give it a try, please share your creation with me so I can put it on the virtual ART SHOW.

Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I made this simple clay. My two college men enjoyed creating with it. Ask your parents for help with it.
