Hey folks! My name is Celeste. I am currently in my third year of my BA with a major in anthropology and a minor in classics. I was originally motivated to study anthropology because of the show “Bones.” Throughout my time studying anthropology, I have come to love understanding *how* we know the things we know about humans and our ancestors. This includes methods like SEM, Stable Isotopic Analysis, GIS, and much more! Another one of my favourite avenues to research is what art and creation can tell us about people (e.g., stone tools, pottery, tattoos, jewelry); I love to see what people create and why! An aspiration of mine is to ingratiate classical carving techniques into my own art style!
"Salam! My name is Rubina, and I am a fourth-year anthropology major. My focus is archaeology, particularly bioarch and lithics. I have experience as a research assistant, working on a lithic collection, and I am gearing up for upcoming excavation fieldwork in Romania! (I’ll do my best not to bring back a vampire curse). My interest in anthropology, particularly archaeology, springs from my love of traveling, adventure, learning about history, and experiencing different cultures. In my spare time, I enjoy dabbling in various hobbies and learning dinosaur facts (my favorite dinosaur is the Parasaurolophus). Looking ahead, I hope to continue my fieldwork and pursue a master's in archaeology, with a specific focus on South Asian archaeology. If you ever see me around, say hi!"
