Alyssa Sykes (she/her)

Alyssa (she/her) is a 3rd years anthropology honours student minoring in history. She is the UAAU Vice President Academic for this academic year. Alyssa takes an interest in forensic anthropology, mortuary archaeology, and sociocultural studies in funerary practices, kinship, and identity. After undergrad, she will pursue an MSc in forensic anthropology followed by a PhD. She hopes to become a professor in anthropology. Her goal for the UAAU is to have more rounded academic events and resources to encompass all (or most) disciplines of anthropology, including international opportunities.
