College Preparation Materials for Seniors
Post high school planning is heavily emphasized form the start of senior year. For those students who are ready, counselors are assisting with the navigation of the college application process. This includes but is not limited to; writing letters of recommendation, help with online applications, online document submission, college search support, standardized testing and teacher recommendation assistance. In addition counselors work closely with students and families that may be planning on entering the military or work force. Some of the formalized programs throughout the year include:
Senior parent information session
Senior planning seminars (small group)
Individual interviews with seniors for recommendation writing
Financial Aid Night
College visits in the college and career center
Post secondary advisement and planning
Development of academic, personal and social goals
All students participate in and advisory program that meets throughout the school year and offers additional support in the area of academic success and school involvement
