I encourage all scouts to try to make it down to Fort AP Hill for at least one day of the Jamboree. I understand there is a fee for day visitors, but I think it would be worth it.
I dropped Regis off at Jamboree yesterday. He will be on the staff at the Venture Crew area, where they are doing a Wild West theme. He is working from a bunch of youth and leaders from all over the country. Their area is just west of the Merit Badge Midway. If you decide to go down for a day, wander over there and see if you can find him. Last I heard he was working the Underground Adventure part.
Mr Wrausmann, our former Scoutmaster, is also working at Jamboree in the the Scuba Exhibit. The brief time I was there I wasnt able to locate him. They were still setting up exhibits for the opening on
http://www.bsajamboree.org/ should have all the information you need. I understand Jamboree Radio (QBSA) will be streaming over the internet starting Monday. Day visitors can start coming down on Tuesday July 27.
