Parent Portal Grading Policy 2nd & 3rd Trimester; Distance & Hybrid Learning - Ms. Jennings

MULTIPLE IXL SKILLS AT EXCELLENCE OR MASTERY WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED AT TOWN MEETING.

IXL -- 80%/10/10% Assignment is due every other week and put into Realtime [ Week A]

Class Participation Grade -- is also done every other week and put into Realtime [ Week B]

3.) Devices-Ready, Cameras-On & devices in full working order, materials ready- or device ticket logged in with Ms. Pressley (25%)

4.) Voluntary participation, Use of whiteboards, Use of silent signals, & Participation when called on, Time on Task (25%)

Students will receive classwork/homework daily. Students should always make up missing homework because homework prepares a student for projects and exams. Main materials for students include charged computer, workbook or handouts, notebook - graph paper (8th grade), pencil case with red pens, two sharpened pencils, colored pencils, and pencil sharpener.)

7th Grade Class - Working with partners on "The Wumps and the Imposters" - An in-class partner project based on Geometry, Algebraic Expressions - Understanding Similarity, Scale Factor, and translations using Algebraic Expressions - May 2019 - based on Connected Math 3 (CMP3)

Geometry: Study of Similarity

2D images studied and created in math, then a 3D pyramid was constructed from a net in science. It was then displayed at the art show. Students came to me with the suggestion to take all of their 2D drawings and create a 3D figure.
