Mr. Ho's assessment practice follows closely with the Ontario curriculum document. He and his colleague, Mr. Karim, invented the idea of 21st-century assessment reporting in September 2025 to help students improve their learning. He adapted the Grade 9 Math EQAO assessment's individual student reports and created a summary rubric report that gives his students descriptive feedback and their academic standing relative to the provincial standard. The effectiveness of this 21st-century assessment reporting is currently under review by Mr. Ho and some of his Math colleagues.
Mr. Ho also plans and organizes the Grade 9 Math EQAO assessment at the end of each semester in every school year. He collaborates with his Grade 9 Math team, the ACL of Student Success and Numeracy, the ACL of Special Education, and the school's VP to ensure that every Grade 9 math student is well-prepared for the Grade 9 Math EQAO assessment.
