Apps

Whilst at St Francis de Sales we do try to use free apps where we can - we do ask parents to purchase a small suite of carefully selected paid apps for students to use. These apps have been carefully selected by not only our staff but have been sourced from positive feedback from teachers from the wider archdiocese.

We will endeavour to keep the app budget under $50 a year for parents. But please do keep in mind that the app store is an ever-changing market and a new app that can possibly revolutionise the way students interact with their iPad may be developed tomorrow.

It is the responsibility of the parents to make sure the iPad has the correct apps loaded onto their child's iPad - in addition they must also keep the apps updated as to receive the latest functionality from supported apps.

A strategy to save money on apps is to buy

iTunes cards at a reduced prices at various retailers. Then purchase the apps with the iTunes card funds using the redeem code function within the app store.
