Technology Teaching Activities Incorporating Catholic Values:
Problem-solving for the needs and wants in today's world is foundational to the Working Technologically strand. Generating ideas and designing and evaluating solutions for humanities' needs, is an important calling, which upholds the dignity of human persons. God has gifted each person particular talents, which include intellectual aptitude and creativity and "those endowed with particular talents share the benefits with those who need them" (CCC 1937).
Catholic Perspective of Cross Curriculum Priorities:
Information and communication technology (ICT) is a very valuable tool for students to engage within the area of science and technology. ICT offers many benefits and Pope Benedict XVI reiterates this important point in his message for the 43rd World Communication day.
"These technologies are truly a gift to humanity and we must endeavour to ensure that the benefits they offer are put at the service of all human individuals and communities, especially those who are most disadvantaged and vulnerable"
