This course has been introduced to address a significant market demand for skills associated with the design of distributed computing environments and the networks that underpin them.
This course encompasses computer technology, in terms of both hardware and software, as well as computer communications and networking incorporating Local Area Networks (LANs), Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) together with network management. You will study the fundamental programming and theoretical knowledge of computing, as well as C++ and Java. Linux and object oriented programming skills are also taught.
After completion of the Diploma, you can choose to study Bachelor of Technology (Computer Systems and Networking) or Bachelor of Science (Computing), which offers majors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Cyber Security.
