NCAA Academic Eligibility

Many college athletic programs are regulated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The NCAA has three divisions: I, II and III. Institutions are members of one or another division according to the size of their athletic programs and whether they provide athletic scholarships.

Students who are planning to participate in Division I or II athletics must meet certain academic eligibility requirements. Academic standards are set by the NCAA and may vary from year to year. It is the responsibility of the student athlete to meet the academic requirements and complete the certification process. Consult your Guidance Counselor or Athletic Director for the latest brochures published by the NCAA, which can be found online at the above internet address. The NCAA recommends student athletes begin the certification process at the end of their junior year.
