Quarter class, ½ credit,
Prerequisite: English II
This course is the first half of the Saint Edmond Communications course and deals with the composition process of pre-writing, writing and revising writing, including experiences in the four most common kinds of composition: exposition, persuasion, analysis and compare/contrast. Students will focus on organization, structure, and formatting writing to help with their future courses. Topics covered include writing academic papers, answering essay questions, and communicating effectively in professional and academic settings.

3-ring binder
lined note cards
loose leaf paper
red and black/blue ink pens.
*Students MUST pass both this course and Oral Communications in order to pass the semester
