SIS has student councils (StuCo) for the Middle School and

Global Issues Network

Global issues network is an international network of students that aims to promote globalization and to raise awareness of the social responsibility of "global citizens", and develop solutions for modern global issues. Visit the GIN website for more details: http://globalissuesnetwork.org/

At SIS Grades 10-12 students are invited to joint the club by signing up on the SIS GIN page.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is a U.S.-based organization established to recognize outstanding high school students from Grades 9-12. It honors students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, through awards and scholarships for college. The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a similar organization that honors outstanding middle school students from Grades 6-8.SIS has active chapters of both NHS and NJHS. To be eligible for consideration for membership in either, a student must have a minimum cumulative academic average of 87.5 and must exhibit high standards of character, leadership and service. NHS serves as a focus for community service projects undertaken by SIS students. Visit the SIS NHS Page and NJHS Page for more information.

for the High School. StuCo represents the student body and plans fundraising, sporting and social activities for their peers. At the High School level, StuCo helps plan intramural sports and intellectual and fun tournaments. StuCo also discusses any problems or areas of concern that arise or are presented by the student body, and determines how to handle them. Elections usually take place at the end of the school year for the StuCo executive committee serving the following school year.
