Marching Band

During the summer and fall, the Seward High Band functions exclusively as a marching band. The "Pride of Seward High" BlueJay Marching Band performs a selected field show at marching band competitions and home varsity football games throughout the fall. The band also performs annually for the Seward 4th of July Parade and other community events.

Fundamentals in music and marching execution are emphasized, as the students work as a team towards the common goal of performing at their highest level of musical achievement. The Student Leadership Team, which consists of Drum Majors, Section Leaders, and Color Guard Captains is selected through an audition process each spring. Band camps are held during the summer, and rehearsals begin at 7:45 AM during the school year.
