OHHS ENSEMBLE EXPECTATIONS
1. Everyone is to be treated with respect at all times. Quality music cannot be achieved in an environment of put-downs, ridicule or hostility. Leave your prejudices and sarcasm at the door, and plan on supporting everyone’s efforts!
2. Always bring a pencil, ALL your music, and whatever equipment, instrument, reeds, mutes, etc. that you need.
3. Concert and performance attendance is required in order to pass the class. “I had to work” is not a valid excuse for missing a performance. If you must miss a performance due to sudden illness or family emergency, please inform Mr. Paquette or Mr. Fuller "BEFORE THE EVENT". You are required to attend all performances for which you receive two weeks’ notice.
4. Take pride in your music membership! There are very few students in this school who have the skills you have, and who can perform as well as you do. Bring the best of yourself to each rehearsal!
5. Our goal is to prepare you to enjoy music and participate in music for your whole life. Make your best effort now, and enjoy the results for years to come!
It is imperative that the community see and hear our ensembles if they are to be expected to continue to support music in our school – if we do not perform, the music program cannot survive.
