Articulation

RRISD has partnered with the Austin Community College and other colleges and universities to ensure students have the opportunity to earn as many college credits in high school as possible. One key component of the academies is the availability of college credit while in high school.

Articulated credits are available to McNeil High School students through many of the Career and Technical Education courses. Emphasis is placed on higher-level academic courses designed to prepare students for the future. Articulation agreements with community colleges (and some four-year universities) make it possible for students to follow a course of study that prepares them to obtain an associate degree, a two-year program certificate, or to enter the work force better prepared to be competent employees. Take Articulated Credit courses enable students to earn free college credit while in high school.
