I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Marian College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. I have experience as a school nurse, a Hospice nurse, and a hospital nurse in Medical-Surgical units and this is my fourth year as a Health Science Instructor for the McNeil Health Science Academy. Presently, I serve as Program Director for our Certified Nursing Assistant Program. I am the mother of two daughters, one a graduate of our academy and now a student at University of Texas in Dallas and the other a sophomore in our academy.

I received my BSN from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas and my Master of Business Administration - Health Services from University of Dallas. In 2008, I retired from the Baylor Health Care System after 35 years of service. My clinical background is in intensive care nursing. I served as Director of Nursing, Vice President of Baylor Health Group (Baylor's system initiative to and integrate community hospitals in to system) and as Executive Director of Baylor Senior Health Network (an innovative program to bring primary care to persons 65 and above). In my various assignments I was privileged to participate actively in every department of our hospitals, home health care, physician offices and a nursing home.

Graduate of University of North Texas 1974 B.S., 1976 M.S. ("MEAN GREEN Eagles") This is my 39th year to teach, last 26 years in RRISD. Coached football and baseball 29 years, the last 18 years at Round Rock High School. Teaching at McNeil High School since 2004. I am the Stadium manager for RRISD Athletic Complex on Parmer Lane
The main focus of the anatomy classes will be to present the human body in such a way as to create an understanding of its physical structure, as well as a detailed look at the individual organ's ability to function and interact with other organs and organs systems to maintain homoeostasis.
Medical Micro- will focus on identifying and isolating a wide range of bacteria. We will be preparing slides, cultures and tubes of media and staining to identify some of the various bacteria.
Pathophysiology- Will focus on the various diseases that infect the human body and how those conditions are treated.

I have a bachelors of science degree and a masters degree in agriculture education. I'm a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. I have been teaching for 28 years, with 24 of these years with Round Rock ISD. I started teaching at McNeil in 1992: the same year the high school opened.My philosophy and focus is to do my best to prepare students to enter the work place or pursue a degree in higher education. I am married with two children 9 and 11 years old.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. I also have a Master of Arts in Forensic Anthropology and Museum Studies from California State University, Chico and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Texas State University. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in several science and history museums across Texas. This will be my third year at McNeil High School and I am proud to be McNeil Faculty. I am excited to be a part of the Health Sciences Academy and to teach Forensic Science next year.
