This course runs as if you have been "hired" by a theatre company. Like a theatre company, there will be a line-up of shows you will need to design, build, and run backstage. You will gain skills in stagecraft, including lighting, stage make-up, costume design, prop making skills, set design, and sound. Unit Standards in each area will be the main form of assessment. Students taking this course need to be able to work in a team, and also be prepared to complete class work outside of class and school hours.
Note: This course runs like a functioning theatre, students will focus on particular standards that will be their specialised area.
