12 Dramatic Arts

This course builds upon the skills introduced and explored in Years 9, 10, and 11. This course requires ākonga to create and perform in dramatic presentations. Ākonga will analyse, interpret, and perform dramatic works from various cultures and time periods. The course may also include visits to, and observation of, theatre performances outside of the classroom in order to develop critical response to Drama and Theatre. Ākonga taking this course need to work as part of a team and be prepared to complete some evening and weekend production work.

Note: while this is an internals-only course, there are four optional credits for ākonga who wish to sit the external examination.
