Assessments

Note: S = Sector related standards and Recommended standards

Reassessment: Is only available where the grade may change from ‘Not Achieved’ to ‘Achieved’. There is a maximum of one opportunity per assessment, and only where it is logistically possible within the confines of the course.

Assessment Requirement

Students must be fully aware of the Coursework requirements outlined in the Student Handbook regarding: authenticity, absence, appeals, reassessment, resubmission, misconduct, late work, attendance, and course completion requirements.

Moderation Processes

All performance assessment will be live moderated when possible. If live moderation can not occur, then performance will be filmed for later moderation within the department. All filmed and written assessments are stored for further external moderation rounds.

Rehearsals

Students are required and must be prepared to attend one weekend rehearsal and several afterschool and lunchtime rehearsals during the Class Production assessment. Dates will be given well in advance.

Prerequisites for Year 12 Drama:

In order to gain entry to Year 12 Drama, students must achieve a minimum of 15 credits in Level One Drama including AS 90009 (Class Production) and 90998 (External Exam)

Covid Alternative

If Auckland goes into lock due to Covid19 then students will be informed to continue with one of the following options and will communicate with their teacher through zoom meetings.:

    • Term 1 - completing devising workbook and starting melodrama exam prep

    • Term 2 - learning lines for class production and or melodrama exam prep

    • Term 3 - contouring to learn melodrama internal lines plus studying melodrama exam external

    • Term 4 - exam prep
