Each year the Connecticut Music Educators Association sponsors the Northern Regional Middle School Festival. The purpose for this festival is to provide an opportunity for young musicians to come together and share their musical talents for a weekend of rehearsals culminating with a final performance. Students from all over the northern part of our state participate. The students may elect to audition for the festival in the areas of chorus, band, jazz, and orchestra. Students need my recommendation to audition for this process. Audition preparation takes dedication, motivation, and consistency of practice several months leading up to the audition date.
