2021-2022 Lesson Schedules
Grading
In the grade portal band grades and comments will be listed under the 2nd and 4th quarter.
This is because the band grade only shows up on the 2nd and 4th quarter report cards. All grading is done by points. You can always check the grade portal at any time for the current grade.
Grades are based on band tests, concert performances (attendance is mandatory), weekly lesson participation, weekly band ensemble participation, & Google Classroom writing and recording assignments.
Practice Expectations
Minimum of two hours (120 minutes) per week . . . .Excellent Effort! Exemplary effort
Minimum of one hour and a half (90 minutes) per week ….Good Job/Consistent effort
Minimum of one hour (60 minutes) per week . . . . . . . .Satisfactory Effort
Minimum of one half hour (30 minutes) per week. . . . .Minimal Effort
Less than 30 minutes. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Unacceptable
