Covid 19 update: Instruments are not allowed to be performed inside the building at this time. To accommodate this and to maintain student cohorts grade 6-8 band has been adjusted to individual private lessons. In school students will receive instruction on the fundamentals of music and their instrument in the band room. They will need to submit recordings of their performances/practice sessions for evaluation at each lesson. Remote students will follow the same procedure however they will be allowed to play their instrument since they are at home. The district will reassess these guidelines and provide updated procedures for the instrumental department to follow at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Students will gain valuable and memorable musical experiences with each performance. Membership requires motivation, responsibility, dedication, and enthusiasm. All students will need to purchase a lesson book, rent or own a musical instrument, and participate in all band rehearsals and one pull out instrumental lesson per week. Students are required to participate in the school concerts and music festivals/events held throughout the year.
