Mrs. Melissa Pugh, Band Director
Mrs. Pugh is a native of Rockingham County and a 2001 graduate of Rockingham County High School. After high school, Mrs. Pugh went on as a "North Carolina Teaching Fellow", to major in music education at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. In 2005 she received her Bachelor's of Music Education degree.
Upon graduation, Mrs. Pugh taught band and general music at Joe Toler-Oak Hill Elementary, in Granville County, NC. After serving four years, Mrs. Pugh was named "Teacher of the Year" in 2009.
For the past twelve years, Mrs. Pugh has taught band at Holmes Middle School, in Eden, NC. She received National Board Certification in 2020. Mrs. Pugh loves teaching and sharing her passion for music with her students. Mrs. Pugh lives in Reidsville with her husband Riley, and children Zachary and Madison.
